IND vs AUS 3rd Test : In the ongoing third Test between India and Australia, Nathan Lyon proved to be a tough nut to crack as he grabbed eight wickets in the second innings to restrict Team India to a total of 163 runs. However, amidst the tense situation, Cheteshwar Pujara surprised cricket fans with a mighty six over mid-wicket that made Rohit Sharma smile.
Pujara, who is known for his cautious approach on the crease, was trying to form a partnership with all-rounder Axar Patel after the first seven Indian batters fell quickly on the tricky Indore pitch. Rohit Sharma, not pleased with the defensive mindset of the two Indian batters, sent a message through Ishan Kishan during the drinks break asking them to show some intent against the Australian spinners.
Responding positively to his skipper’s message, Pujara stepped out on the third delivery of the 55th over of Team India’s innings and slogged a monstrous six over mid-wicket off Nathan Lyon’s delivery. Rohit Sharma couldn’t hide his delight as the cameraman captured his big smile on the big screen. The incident went viral across social media platforms as Pujara delivered what his skipper had asked for.

Pujara shines in the second innings
Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, Cheteshwar Pujara played a heroic knock of 59 runs in the second innings of the third test. Unfortunately, he didn’t receive much support from the other end as Nathan Lyon bowled superbly, taking eight wickets for just 64 runs. The Australian spinner rattled through the Indian batting lineup, putting Australia in the driver’s seat. As a result, Team India were bowled out for just 163 runs in 60.3 overs, setting a target of 76 runs for Australia to chase on Day 3 of the Indore test.
