IND VS NZ: Nitish Rana is happy with Ishan Kishan’s failure for Team India in T20?

It is not easy for a cricketer to digest the fact that despite being in good form, he is not a part of the team’s plans. The Indian national cricket team has always had some tough competition.

Making a place in the Indian cricket team is always a tough task for any cricketer. However, only those who perform consistently over and over again retain their places.

Last year, in 2022, Nitish Rana recently grabbed headlines when he shared a cryptic tweet on his social media handle. He was ignored by the Indian selectors in the T20 series against the South African cricket team.

There is no worse feeling than not getting a few chances to play for Team India. Nitish Rana has so far played only 2 T20s and 1 ODI in his international career before falling out of favor with the selectors.

Nitish Rana has been one of the key players of Kolkata Knight Riders for a long time now. The southpaw played a crucial knock for KKR in India’s premier T20 competition.

The left-handed attacking batsman scored seven runs in ODIs while he scored nine runs in the abbreviated version of the game for Team India.

IND VS NZ: Meanwhile, Nitish Rana has once again come into limelight for a strange reason. It seems he has liked the post of Ishan Kishan, who hasn’t fared well in T20Is for the Indian cricket team.

Ishan Kishan was clearly struggling to get going in T20Is despite having the necessary backup. He scored 652 runs in 26 T20Is at an average of 26.1, including 4 fifties.

Ishan Kishan has not been impressive in the last 13 innings in the T20I format. One of the Twitter handles posted a tweet highlighting Ishan Kishan’s dismal scores in T20Is.

Meanwhile, Nitish Rana apparently liked the post and since then, fans have taken to social media to share their thoughts. After causing a stir on Twitter, Nitish Rana went ahead and refuted the post.

Ishan Kishan failed to execute his plans in the 2nd T20I against New Zealand. The southpaw didn’t start the game well as he scored 19 runs off 31 balls.

If reports are to be believed, Prithvi Shaw is expected to replace out-of-form Ishan Kishan for the third and final T20I against New Zealand on February 1.
