IPL 2022 Live: Rajasthan Royals batsman Devdutt Padikal is clearly struggling to find momentum in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League.
The southpaw grabbed headlines in the IPL for his stellar performances for Royal Challengers Bangalore. RCB bought him for Rs 20 lakh in the player auction before IPL 2019.
It turned out to be one of the best buys for the RCB franchise. The Karnataka-born cricketer made his presence felt on the field during his debut season.
Devdutt Padikal scored 473 runs including 5 fifties and was the highest run scorer for the Royal Challengers Bangalore franchise.
Devdutt Padikal also praised his batting performance where he scored more runs than Virat Kohli in IPL 2020 season. In the 2021 season, he scored 411 runs including 1 century and 1 fifty.

Dev Dutt had two good seasons with the bat and was set to be one of the most attractive prospects at the mega auction in Bengaluru. Rajasthan Royals managed to recruit him.
The inaugural IPL champion fetched Rs 7.75 crore in Padikkal in the mega auction. He is opening the batting alongside England international Jos Buttler.
Meanwhile, the young cricketer said that Virat Kohli enjoys batting more than Jos Buttler. The southpaw opened with Virat Kohli in the RCB franchise where both of them got off to a great start.
During a chat with ESPNCricinfo, a fan asked Dev Dutt Padikal in #politeenqueries: “Who is more fun to bat with? Virat or Jos?” To which Dev Dutt Padikal found it difficult to answer. However, he chose the former Royal Challengers Bangalore captain. Virat Kohli.
