Pakistan Super League has been hit by yet another controversy as Mohammad Amir loses his cool on teammate Tayyab Tahir during the game between Quetta Gladiators and Karachi Kings on March 6 in PSL 2023. The incident occurred when Quetta Gladiators were chasing down a total of 164 runs set by Karachi Kings.
Mohammad Amir is no stranger to losing his temper on the field, which has caused him criticism multiple times during the ongoing Pakistan Super League. During the game against Quetta Gladiators in Rawalpindi, Amir could not hold on to his emotions after his teammate Tayyab Tahir displayed a poor fielding effort.
The game between Quetta Gladiators and Karachi Kings was getting really close when Mohammad Amir came in to bowl the 19th over. Quetta-based franchise needed 11 runs off 7 deliveries when Amir bowled a short delivery around the fourth stump line, which was heaved by Sarfaraz Ahmed.
Sarfaraz couldn’t time the shot properly, and the ball landed in the mid-off region. Tayyab Tahir tried to catch it, but he was late to get off the blocks, and the ball landed in front of him. Tahir could not even stop the ball as it went past him, allowing the batting pair to complete the double. This misfielding by Tayyab Tahir made Mohammad Amir furious, and he started shouting at him.
Amir looked completely furious as he started shouting at Tayyab Tahir, who went back to his fielding position. Even as Amir finished his over, he looked really upset at Tayyab Tahir as he kept complaining about the misfielding, which allowed the Quetta Gladiators an extra run.

Eventually, the misfielding proved to be costly for the Karachi Kings as the Quetta Gladiators chased down the total on the second last delivery of their innings. Martin Guptill was the star of the show as he scored a swashbuckling 86 off just 56 deliveries, including 4 maximums. Tabraiz Shamsi was the pick of the bowlers, dismissing 2 opponent batters while giving away just 20 runs from his four-over spell.
