Bangladesh would like to win this match and level the series, while India will look to continue the series clean sweep. This will be another interesting encounter between these two teams.

Virat Kohli shouts at Najmul Shanto for wasting time during Day 2 of Bangladesh vs India 2nd Test. The ineffective behavior of the Bangladesh batsman in Bangladesh vs India irked the former Indian skipper, who decided to give a befitting reply by threatening to take off his jersey.

The Bangladeshi opener’s tactics failed to impress Kohli, who was heard shouting, “shart bhi khol le apni” (open your shirt too), as he started pulling off his jersey.

A few overs before the end of the second day’s play, the entire team of Team India was dismissed for 314 runs. After the fifth ball of the sixth over, Bangladeshi batsman Najmul Hossain Shanto began tying his shoelaces and ensured that the timer ran out to avoid an extra over being bowled.

Bangladesh opener Zakir Hasan faced off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin while non-striker Shantu bent down to tie his shoelaces. Shanto’s tactics enrage Virat, who hilariously tells Shanto to take off his shirt and starts bending over his jersey.

Bangladesh vs India: Shanto changes his bat multiple times to waste time.

It is important to note that this was not the only time Shanto slowed down proceedings. As soon as the Bangladesh batsmen opened the batting, Shanto requested a new bat. Bangladesh came with several bats to choose from as their 12th man. But Shanto kept on using the same bat after inspecting each one.

Earlier, India’s Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer scored brilliant runs as India posted a total of 314 runs. And took a crucial lead of 87 runs in the first innings. Iyer and Pant scored 87 and 93 respectively for the crucial fifth wicket partnership.

After scoring a modest 227 in the first innings. India’s veteran bowlers Ravichandran Ashwin and Umesh Yadav took 4-4 wickets. While Undictated took a few, Bangladesh will now look to bat better in the second innings to add some interest to the game.

After electing to bat first and scoring 404 in the first innings, India got off to a good start against Bangladesh in the first Test at the Zahoor Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong. They got rid of Najmul Hossain Shanto without troubling the scorers, thanks to a delivery by Mohammed Siraj across the off-stump line that was too hot for the Bangladeshi opener.

Shantu’s leg didn’t move at all before the thick edge hit the inside of the ball, which went out of the hands of wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant. Pant dives to his left and takes a comfortable catch to complete the wicket. The Indian players, after being dismissed, were jubilant at drawing so quickly for the first time, and people on social media praised Siraj for his peachy opening spell.

2. BAN vs IND | Mohammed Siraj came out with the best revenge by cleaning up Litton Das after a war of words

Siraj-revenge

Players show their patience and perseverance in Test cricket, and that combination of skills is what separates the greats from the rest. However, after a heated exchange of words with the Indian pacer at Chattogram on Thursday, Litton Das failed to secure his wicket to Mohammad Siraj on the next ball.

After India’s mammoth first innings total of 404, Bangladesh failed to reply in the first Test at the Zahoor Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong. They were down to 39/2 after 13 overs, with Mohammed Siraj and Umesh Yadav doing the best for India. Both wickets fell within four overs when Bangladesh had five runs on board, before Litton Das and Zakir Hasan stabilized the innings.

However, this partnership did not last long, courtesy of a foolishly unnecessary gesture by the Litton Das. The Bangladeshi wicket-keeper batsman defended Mohammad Siraj on the backfoot during the 14th over without scoring any runs. After the ball, Siraj had a few words for Litton Das, to which he responded by pointing, “I didn’t hear anything, what are you saying?”

Siraj didn’t respond to Liton’s gusture and what he did on the next ball got a lot of attention. The right-arm fastball bowled at 141 kmph which was kept down. Liton could not bring his bat down in time as a result of which the ball kept breaking the stumps. Soon after his prized wicket, Siraj put his fingers to his lips to celebrate his wicket.
