The ongoing one-day International series between India and Australia is currently underway, with the penultimate match taking place in Vizag city. With both teams boasting of some of the best cricketing talent in the world, this series has been highly anticipated. The Indian team currently leads the series 1-0 following their emphatic victory in the series opener in Mumbai. Australia, on the other hand, will be looking to bounce back with a win in this match to stay in contention for the series.

“The pitch has been under the covers for a long time, we got to bat well and see where we are. Every game you play for India is a pressure game, so you got to stay calm and make the right decision. We have tried to remain calm in the last few ODI series we have played.” said Indian captain Rohit Sharma at the toss

Australia won the toss and decided to bowl first, which proved to be a good decision as the visitors managed to register three dismissals in the first six overs of the game. India’s scorecard currently displays 34/3, with Sharma, Gill, and Yadav all losing their wickets. Premier Australian pacer Mitchell Starc was the bowler who claimed all three wickets, continuing his impressive form.

This was Gill’s second failure in the ongoing series, having been dismissed for just 20 runs in the first match. Shubman Gill’s Redemption with Stunning Catches after Dropping Marcus Stoinis in IND vs AUS 1st ODI

In the highly anticipated India versus Australia 1st ODI match held at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, all eyes were on young Indian opener Shubman Gill after he dropped a crucial catch. Gill, who was stationed in the slip region, dropped Australian batsman Marcus Stoinis in the 32nd over of the innings. Gill’s frustration was evident as he resorted to using abusive language on the field.

However, Gill did not let this setback bog him down. He went on to redeem himself by taking two exceptional catches later in the match. In the 34th over of the innings, he dived towards his right to complete a low catch and send Sean Abbott back to the pavilion off Mohammed Siraj’s bowling. This catch was followed by another diving catch to dismiss Stoinis, the same player he had dropped earlier in the match. Gill’s stunning catches helped India bundle out Australia at a score of 188.

The brilliant bowling performance by Mohammed Shami and Siraj was also instrumental in India’s victory in the match. Hardik Pandya, who won the toss, invited the Steve Smith-led side to bat first. With the scoreboard reading 174/5, Shami gifted another wicket to the Aussies in Cameron Green.

Shubman Gill’s redemption in the match is a testament to the importance of taking responsibility for one’s mistakes and not letting setbacks affect one’s performance. Gill’s ability to come back stronger after dropping a catch and his excellent fielding skills were critical in India’s win in the match.

As a player, it is essential to remain calm under pressure and not let frustration take over. Gill’s use of abusive language on the field, though understandable in the heat of the moment, is not something that should be condoned. As athletes, we must maintain sportsmanship and respect for our opponents at all times.

KL Rahul's Unbeaten Knock Guides India to Victory

The Wankhede Stadium witnessed Rahul’s heroics, which guided India to a thrilling victory with five wickets to spare.

India’s bowling attack, led by Mohammed Shami, was in top form as they restricted Australia to a below-par score of 188 in 35.4 overs. Mitchell Marsh’s 81 off 65 balls had put the Aussies in a commanding position at 129/2 until Shami’s spell turned the game around. Shami picked up three crucial wickets, while Mohammed Siraj and Hardik Pandya claimed three and one wicket, respectively.

Chasing the target, India was in trouble with Mitchell Starc’s sharp bowling removing three key batsmen in quick succession. However, KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja’s partnership turned the game in India’s favour as they steadied the ship and chased down the target in 39.5 overs.

The victory was a great start for India in the three-match ODI series against Australia, and they will look to continue their momentum in the next match, scheduled for March 19 in Visakhapatnam.

The Indian and Australian cricket teams faced off in a much-anticipated matchup, and while the players in both teams excelled in their respective roles, there was one moment that left cricket fans buzzing. The jaw-dropping inswinger delivered by Mitchell Starc that dismissed Virat Kohli for the first time in limited-overs cricket made Twitter go wild. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at the action and the reactions to it.

As the Indian team chased down 189 runs against the Australian team in the first ODI on Friday, Kohli took to the crease at No. 3 to support his team’s efforts. Unfortunately for Kohli and Indian cricket fans, it was a short-lived appearance. Starc bowled an impressive full inswinger that nipped back, preventing Kohli from connecting with it. The ball hit Kohli’s pads, and the umpire quickly raised his finger, signalling that Kohli was out. He left the pitch after scoring just 4 off nine balls.

The First Time Starc Got Kohli in ODIs

While Kohli is known for dominating in limited-overs cricket, Starc had always struggled against him. However, this time was different. Starc managed to dismiss Kohli for the first time in ODIs. During the second day of the Ahmedabad Test, Rohit Sharma, the captain of Team India, became visibly frustrated with a spectator who had appeared near the sight screen area and caused a distraction. Rohit’s concentration was broken, and he could be seen shouting ‘hata usko’ (remove him) in a bid to get the fan to move away.

Despite the incident, Rohit managed to keep his focus and ended the day without losing his wicket. However, there are differing reports as to when the incident occurred. Some sources claim that it happened during the sixth over of India’s innings, while others suggest that it occurred during the last over of the day’s play when a six from Shubman Gill’s bat got stuck in the sight screen.

India’s chances of winning the match are slim, as they continue to trail Australia by a massive 444 runs. The visitors had scored an impressive 480 runs in their first innings, largely thanks to Usman Khawaja’s 180 and Cameron Green’s 114.

Ravindra Jadeja's Instincts Lead to Another Disastrous DRS

The fourth test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia witnessed yet another disastrous DRS call by Team India, as Ravindra Jadeja convinced skipper Rohit Sharma to make a horrible decision against Usman Khawaja, the Australian opening batter.

The Indian bowling lineup failed to make much of an impact on the flat Ahmedabad pitch, and Khawaja took advantage of the situation by playing a heroic knock of 180 runs, batting for five sessions, making things really tough for the Indian team.

Even the spin trio of Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, and Axar Patel were made to toil hard as Khawaja didn’t give them any chance to dismiss him. Team India eventually went on to make a shocking DRS call against the left-handed batter, hoping to get rid of him.

On the 128th over of the Australian innings, Khawaja pushed an outside off delivery bowled by Jadeja using his pads as he didn’t offer any shot. The left-arm spinner instinctively made a huge appeal, but the on-field umpire gave it not out, after which he convinced skipper Rohit Sharma to call for DRS.

Unfortunately, it was a terrible decision as the ball was missing the off-stump by a mile. This was not the first time that Rohit lost DRS trusting Jadeja’s instincts, as he had made the same mistake a couple of times during the third test in Indore.

Khawaja’s knock provided the foundation that the Australian team was looking for. His massive partnership with all-rounder Cameron Green for the fifth wicket put the Aussie side in the driver’s seat as they posted a huge total of 480 before getting bowled out. Green too played a crucial knock of 114 runs.

After getting rid of Khawaja and Green, Team India couldn’t quickly wipe out the Australian tail as Nathan Lyon scored 34 and Todd Murphy scored 41. While the other Indian bowlers didn’t look threatening to the Aussie batters, it was Ravichandran Ashwin who kept on taking wickets at regular intervals.

Ashwin finished with the figures of 6 for 91 on the Ahmedabad pitch, which had no help for the spinners as the Men in Blue had to bowl 167.2 overs to dismiss the Australian batting lineup.

IND vs AUS 3rd Test : In the ongoing third Test between India and Australia, Nathan Lyon proved to be a tough nut to crack as he grabbed eight wickets in the second innings to restrict Team India to a total of 163 runs. However, amidst the tense situation, Cheteshwar Pujara surprised cricket fans with a mighty six over mid-wicket that made Rohit Sharma smile.

Pujara, who is known for his cautious approach on the crease, was trying to form a partnership with all-rounder Axar Patel after the first seven Indian batters fell quickly on the tricky Indore pitch. Rohit Sharma, not pleased with the defensive mindset of the two Indian batters, sent a message through Ishan Kishan during the drinks break asking them to show some intent against the Australian spinners.

Responding positively to his skipper’s message, Pujara stepped out on the third delivery of the 55th over of Team India’s innings and slogged a monstrous six over mid-wicket off Nathan Lyon’s delivery. Rohit Sharma couldn’t hide his delight as the cameraman captured his big smile on the big screen. The incident went viral across social media platforms as Pujara delivered what his skipper had asked for.
