Since his international debut, Umran Malik has been impressive with his blistering pace which often troubles the opposition batsmen. He did it again in the final T20I against New Zealand, breaking Michael Bracewell’s stumps, which was captured from great angles by the spider camera.
India registered a whitewash against New Zealand in the third T20I of the series, ending their last white-ball game in over a month with some sensational batting and bowling performances throughout the match. India first posted a mammoth score of 234/4 and then took New Zealand wickets at regular intervals, eventually bundling them out for 66. Scallops with pace including a brilliant dismissal of Michael Bracewell.
Umran was bowling the fifth over of the innings and his back of length delivery reached the hard-hitting all-rounder. Bracewell’s attempt at a cross-batted hook on the ball was no match for the pace of the ball as the Kookaburra hit the top of middle stump to reduce the visitors to 21/5. The delivery was so sharp that it flew into Ishan Kishan’s gloves while he was still rising despite being hampered by the shaking stumps and flying bells.
