The Legends League Cricket Masters 2023 has started with a bang, and the opening match between Asia Lions and India Maharajas was nothing short of exciting. Asia Lions won the match by nine runs, and their skipper Shahid Afridi was over the moon with the victory.
After the match, Afridi went on to embrace former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh, and then, in a moment of excitement, he almost hugged the female umpire. However, he quickly backed off and shook her hand instead, narrowly avoiding a controversy.
The incident was captured on camera, and the video quickly went viral on social media platforms, leaving netizens in splits. This is not the first time Afridi has found himself in the middle of a controversy, but this time, he managed to steer clear of it.
