On two separate occasions during his innings on Sunday, Root delighted the spectators with his famous scoop stroke. In the 15th over, he struck early, going over the off stump and hitting a short full toss over short fine leg for a four.

Mohammad Wasim threw the ball. In the very next over, he hit another scoop shot off Zahoor Khan to the fine leg boundary which got out.
