However, they could only manage 16 runs, despite opposition captain Kieron Pollard scoring 86 off 38 balls to take his team to 206/5.

In their first five matches in the competition, the Capitals have won just twice. They will face Sharjah Warriors on 26 January.
On two separate occasions during his innings on Sunday, Root delighted the spectators with his famous scoop stroke. In the 15th over, he struck early, going over the off stump and hitting a short full toss over short fine leg for a four.
